Terms used

We and us is used to mean ‘Walk and Travel 
The company is used to mean ‘Walk and Travel 
You is used to mean ‘the Customer’, the person that is/has placed the order

Prices

Our prices are correct at the time of publishing to the Web and the price you see on the Walk and Travel website is the price you will pay except where there has been an error in the data entry of the product price. If this happens you will be notified within 12 hours of us receiving your order of the correct price, whereby you will be given the option to cancel the order to continue the order - please note you will have to re place the order.

Delivery

Our Aims

Walk and Travel aim to dispatch your order on the working day following receipt of your order. If there is a delay to this you will be notified within 24 hours and given the option to cancel or proceed with your order. You will also be notified of the expected time the item will take to be despatched. Please note that during busy periods, such as Christmas and Sales please allow slightly longer.

Who will be delivering my parcel?

Walk and Travel will generally use:

  • Royal Mail First Class Post and Seconf Class post (as requested) for most items.
  • Royal Mail Parcel Post for larger items and heavier orders such as tents, rucksacks, sleeping bags or a large amount of goods, please allow up to 6 working days for delivery.
  • Royal Mail First Class Recorded Signed For Delivery. Royal Mail quote that most First Class Recorded Delivery items are delivered the next working day.
  • Special Delivery Next Day Delivery: Guaranteed next day delivery before 1pm to 99% of the UK. Please note that the maximum weight for delivery on this option is 10kg. Orders over 10kg will use a courier. Please note that with Special Delivery Next Day Guaranteed Delivery we do not dispatch until the next working day following receipt of your order. 

Please note that some of these delivery methods will require a signature on delivery. Walk and Travel are more than happy to dispatch to BFPO addresses and other overseas addresses. If you require these services please email info@walkandtravel.com for delivery times and costs. We also reserve the right to amend the delivery methods stated as and when necessary. 

What happens if I’m not there when it is delivered?

If you are not there when the goods are delivered our delivery partner will leave a card for you to arrange to the collection or re-delivery of the goods. If you don’t collect the good within the specified period they will be returned to us.

Walk and Travel want to make your shopping experience as quick and easy as possible. Because of this we offer 3 levels of shipping and costs:

  • Orders up to £75 postage and packaging will cost £3.00 second class Royal Mail and £4 First Class Royal Mail. 
  • Orders over £75 postage and packaging is FREE
  • Special Delivery £12
  • Please note that with Special Delivery Guaranteed Delivery we do not dispatch until the next working day following receipt of your order. Therefore guaranteed delivery within 48 hours, delivered by 1pm.  

Please note that we aim to despatch the next working day after receiving your order. 

For any other delivery options you may require please email infor@walkandtravel.com. Walk and Travel Ltd cannot deliver to hotel accommodation addresses or PO Box numbers.

Returns, Exchanges, Refunds

It is the aim of Walk and Travel to deal with all returns, whether faulty or not wanted in an efficient manner. We will email you to confirm receipt of goods, and actions carried out. We aim to deal with all returns within 21 days.

Walk and Travel ‘Be Delighted’ policy

Walk and Travel want you to ‘Be Delighted’ with your purchase. If for any reason you are not, and the goods are not faulty, please return them to us in their original packaging, with all labels attached and information guides included. The items must un-used and in a re-saleable condition. This needs to be done within 21 days of the date of dispatch from Walk and Travel and include a copy of the receipt. We do not refund your postage costs of returning an item to us. Please detail why you are returning the items so that we can use this to develop our levels of customer delight. Please note that any products sent as promotional gifts are not covered by this.

Walk and Travel may send you an email after despatching your goods to ensure that that you are delighted with your purchase.

Faulty products Your products are covered by a 12 months guarantee from time of purchase. If there is any problem with the item caused by a manufacturing defect or a defect in materials please return the item to us. Items need to be received in a dry and clean manner for Health and Safety reasons, if this is not so the items may be returned to you with no action taken. When we have received the goods, we will make a decision as to whether they need to go back to the manufacturer for inspection or whether a full refund will be made or replacement goods provided. Please indicate if would rather a refund or replacement. This excludes faults caused by accident, neglect or mis-use.

Lifetime warranties

Some Manufacturers offer a lifetime warranty on their products. Please note the following regarding this; Lifetime warranties are with the manufacturer not the supplier. They refer to the lifetime of the product and this is dependant on the circumstances of which it has been used, not the lifetime of the person who bought the product! For example if you bought a waterproof jacket and used it everyday all day as a mountain guide the lifetime of the product may be 6 months, but if you only used it once a month for a few years, this may also be deemed as the lifetime of the product. This is at the discretion of the manufacturer. However, if you need to use this warranty Walk and Travel are more than happy to deal with manufacturer of your behalf. Please contact info@walkandtravel.com if you have any questions regarding this.

Your statutory rights are not effect by this.

Returns Postage

Walk and Travel recommend that any products you return to us, either faulty or under our ‘Be Delighted’ policy  is sent by special or recorded delivery. Walk and Travel will refund the postage cost on faulty products where postage costs can be clearly identified. We recommend you insure returned items as Walk and Travel are not responsible for the items until they are received by us. We do not refund your postage costs if you return items to us under our ‘Be Delighted’ returns policy.

Please note that colour accuracy is dependant on what a web site allows. Some of the information in this website may contain inaccuracies and typography errors; these will be amended as soon as they are picked up. This information may also go out of date from time to time. We do not accept any responsibility for keeping this information up to date or accept any liability for not keeping it up to date.

WEEE Regulations and the environment

Walk and Travel Ltd is required by law to offer to take a  return on any WEEE (waste electrical electronic equipment) on a like for like basis. For example if you have bought a digital pedometer or map measurer you can return a similar item to Walk and Travel Ltd for safe disposal and recycling. The same applies to any torches or electrical lanterns. If you wish to return your WEEE to Walk and Travel Ltd, please use the returns address above clearly stating that you enclose a WEEE product.  All like for like WEEE must be received by Walk and Travel Ltd at the returns address above within 28 days of receipt of your new products, which will be taken as 2 days from Walk and Travel Ltd shipping the new item to you. Any customer returning WEEE and that WEEE is received after the 28 days then a refund for posting and packaging may not be given.  Walk and Travel Ltd are not responsible for any WEEE sent to Walk and Travel Ltd and not received by Walk and Travel Ltd.

Much of the UKs WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. Goods are marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.

At Walk and Travel Ltd we spend a lot of our time around our beautiful country and world. We respect the environment and try to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We recycle all boxes that are received by us and look at ways of recycling packaging and plastic bags. We soon hope to be able to offer carbon off setting for all purchases made on the Walk and Travel website.
